Photos

Please email me your photos to georgia@myfurryprince.com. Include several pictures for me to choose from. If, for example, you like the pose in one shot but the color is more accurate in another I can merge the 2.

If you have a digital camera spend time snapping your pet in all different types of positions and places. You might already have some great shots of your pet doing fun and whacky things.

During our consultation I will let you know which shots will work the best.

- Eyes. I believe the eyes are the windows to an animal's soul so photos that give a clear view of them are great. If you can't get the eyes make sure the pose is interesting to compensate.

- Dynamic shots also make great paintings. Look at the body composition. Is it an interesting form?

- Don't make your pet a saint. Mischevious looks, guilty expressions and pet moments of madness make really fun and dynamic paintings.

- Location. Pets love to get in funny spots. Pets in sock drawers or flowerpots make for fun pictures.

- Background. If you want a specific type of background ie. the couch. Please include a picture of that location.

- Clarity. the quality of my painting is directly connected to the clarity of the photo. Don't expect 100% realism from a shot that is blurry. More artsy style paintings can work with blurry shots if the compostion is strong and you are not attached to detail.

- Combining Photos. Compositions can be created with several pets from different photos if the angles are compatible.

- Additional Elements such as favorite toys, collars or feeding bowls should also have pictures.
